Speicherstadt Hamburg

De vuelta del norte comparto con vosotros éstas imágenes de la llamada "Speicherstadt" 

o ciudad almacén de Hamburgo.

Este conjunto, representante del „Gótico“ realizado a base de ladrillo, único por su tamaño en el mundo, ha sido finalmente declarado patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO.

Construido hace aproximadamente 130 años, facilitaba el libre comercio y el almacenamiento de mercancías en esta zona del puerto, sin tener que aplicarles los impuestos del imperio alemán.

 Back from northern Germany, I would like to share with you these pictures of the „Speicherstadt“ 

or stock city of Hamburg.

 This building complex represents the brick based Gothic, unique in the world because of its size , which has been recently declared "World Heritage" by the UNESCO.

 Built 130 years ago, it made possible tax free trading of any kind of goods, as well as  storing in this port district of Hamburg.
